An unusual event location in the heart of Paris
Located on one of the most beautiful streets in the historic Marais district, the building has been completely renovated to preserve its original identity.
A singular identity
“My legal prehistory – university training followed by legal practice – didn’t suggest such a curved path… Perhaps it was my childhood contact with nature, its energy, vitality, beings, materials, elements, cycles and transformations, that nurtured the resurgence where I’ve been learning to see, listen, live and serve ever since, through the practice of painting.
Perhaps also, the naturalist childhood shared with my brother Laurent, who owns the premises, is no stranger to our coming together around this place of encounters, nomadism and humanities, where nature, culture and the economic world are invited together to invent other possibilities…
And yet, this might seem like a ridiculous or impossible mission, because there are so many constraints…
And yet, untangling the impossible in order to weave together the possible is also what painting is all about.”

Our history
“The name Wilde carries with it the hybrid and singular character of the place, both an echo of the illustrious Irish iconoclast playwright and art critic, and an invitation to reconsider our relationship to ourselves and the world. A call to invent other possibilities…”
The building
Built under the reign of Louis XV between 1733 and 1737, the building designed by architect Jacques Vinage was home to the Couperin family, famous Baroque musicians who were organists at Saint-Gervais church.
The work
Entirely renovated in keeping with its identity, the venue has been specially designed to host intimate events in an atmosphere of raw elegance.
The genesis
Wilde is a hybrid space, the fruit of a joint project by two brothers: to create a place for nomadism and humanities, dedicated to players in the worlds of business and culture.
