The aa-e Christmas Market

Art exhibition and sale

For its 2024 Christmas market, theAtelier des Artistes en Exil invested Wilde for a high-quality sales exhibition.

Founded in 2017 in Paris, theaa-e is an association that supports artists forced into exile for political, social or religious reasons, so that they can pursue their artistic activity in France.

Today, the association has premises in Paris and Marseille, and operates with a multidisciplinary team and the help of volunteers and patrons. It supports all artistic disciplines: visual arts, music, theater, dance, cinema, etc.

L’atelier des artistes en exil offers artists a space to work and meet, access to workshops and digital equipment, and advice on developing their careers.

It also assists them with administrative and social formalities (asylum, residence permits, legal advice), helps them write CVs and artistic files, as well as creating projects and putting them in touch with professionals in the cultural sector. French language courses through art are also offered to facilitate integration. All these services are free of charge for artists.

The association also organizes cultural events and residencies, giving artists visibility through exhibitions, shows and festivals. It also collaborates with partner venues and promotes encounters between exiled artists and industry professionals.

Its actions help preserve the cultural memory of artists’ countries of origin, support artistic diversity and defend freedom of expression.
