Into the Wilde /
Vasilii Berezin - Theater of Objects
Contemporary art and theater
At the end of 2024, Vasilii Berezin deployed his Theatre of Objects at Wilde. A performance exhibition, a plastic and experimental dramaturgy as strong as it is fragile, where the art of joy was invited to join the public.
Born in Moscow, Russia, in 1992, Vasilii Berezin is a director, actor and musician.
Trained at GITIS, he founded his company, Binary Biotheatre, in 2015. Since then, he has staged over 400 shows in unusual, non-theatrical venues, inspired by performance practices, literature and history, and with the desire to make art accessible to all audiences.
Due to the political orientation of his work and his opposition to the war in Ukraine, he left Russia for France in 2022. He then set up the artistic association Microcrédit and performed at the Espace d’Abraxas in Noisy-le-Grand, notably with a street opera based on Don Juan.
Vasilii Berezin is a member of the aa-e which also exhibited its Christmas Market in Wilde at the same time.
